Meet Tera

Painful experiences and emotions that are left unacknowledged reside in our bodies. Unknowingly, they can be triggered, and create both physical and mental health concerns. Psychotherapy assists with identifying the root causes of emotions and confusing reactions. Regardless of your past, there is always hope to improve your physical and emotional health. I will partner with you to help understand how your current mental state is affected through past experiences. We will partner together to achieve long-term physical, mental, and emotional health.

My goal is to partner with clients to work towards the rich and meaningful life they desire. Together we will identify parts of you that are emotionally triggered, work to heal and release the role of unwanted experiences, and build a new relationship with yourself. Your thoughts, wants, needs, and desires matter!

My Background

Through my experiences in Juvenile Probation and as a Victim’s Advocate for The District Attorney’s Office, my passion to help others grew into a desire to provide Psychotherapy. I completed a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at John F. Kennedy University. My love and passion for horses led me to acquire certification in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy through PATH International. I am a certified Equine Specialist In Mental Health and Learning. (ESHML)

Areas of Focus

I focus on; Anxiety, Depression, Co-Dependency, Relationships, Life Transitions, Eating Disorders, Life Balance, Mindfulness, Creating New Narratives and Internal Family System (IFS) parts work. I also offer off-site/outdoor Equine Assisted Experiential Psychotherapy with my personal horses.
