Meet Evelyn

Hi, I’m Evelyn Evans, a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee in my final year of a Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. I’m excited to support individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. I provide a calm, compassionate, and supportive space where people can feel safe to open up and begin creating change.

My Christian values guide my work, and I am open to exploring faith in session if that feels meaningful to you. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real connection. Together, we’ll go at your pace and focus on building healthier patterns, stronger relationships, and a deeper sense of self.

My Background

I’m currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. This is my first direct clinical experience as a therapist, and I’m eager to grow in the work while providing meaningful support to clients.

My background includes counseling and advising college students and their families, offering guidance, encouragement, and goal-oriented techniques to help them manage academic pressures, career decisions, and personal growth. That experience taught me how to listen deeply and provide strategies for overcoming stress, self-doubt, and family challenges. Becoming a therapist felt like the natural next step in expanding how I can serve others. I earned my Bachelor’s in Business Management at Fresno Pacific University, where I discovered my passion for guiding others.

Areas of Focus

I specialize in helping clients work through life transitions, anxiety, trauma recovery, grief, stress management, and self-esteem challenges. I also provide relationship counseling, supporting couples and individuals as they navigate communication, trust, intimacy, and family dynamics. My approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to your needs, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), strength-based methods, and, when desired, faith integration. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, and self-esteem issues, while also helping them explore identity, growth, and purpose in ways that feel meaningful and empowering.

Fun Facts About Evelyn

Outside of the office, I love to read, cook, and stay active. Working out is one of my favorite ways to recharge and reset. Fun fact: I know the second verse of the national anthem by heart.
