Meet Dorothy

Maybe painful experiences from the past keep surfacing. Maybe the present is overwhelming, and you’re exhausted. Maybe your future seems uncertain and out of control. You want to stop overthinking and get past unhealthy thought patterns and behaviors. You want to understand what is happening and how to move forward with clarity and confidence.

Whatever you are going through, we will navigate it together. I’ll help you see the “bigger picture”, giving you insight and tools to create the change you want to see in your life. We will develop a plan together aligned with your goals at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Are you ready to thrive, not just survive?

My Background

Through my life experiences and my own therapy journey, I learned that therapy is a gift that you give yourself, empowering you to live more authentically. It is a joy for me to help others achieve their goals and experience greater renewal and reconnection with themselves and others.

I am trained in evidence and brain-based approaches such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems), as well as mindfulness and behavioral approaches as appropriate. I also have training in couples counseling from the Gottman Institute and support premarital couples as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator. I integrate spirituality as desired and work from a culturally sensitive lens.

Areas of Focus

I work with individuals, couples, and families working through relational trauma, conflict, and communication issues. I also support those struggling with stress/OCD, self-esteem, grief, life transitions, and offer parent coaching.

I am available for both in-person and telehealth sessions.

Fun Facts About Dorothy

In my free time, I like being in nature and traveling, practicing yoga, listening to music, spending time with my family, and serving in my community.
