Meet Dorothy

Maybe painful experiences and trauma from the past is leaving a scar that hasn’t healed. Maybe the present is leaving you stressed and feeling lonely. Maybe your future seems uncertain and scary. Maybe you don’t understand what exactly is the problem, but you feel helpless and lost. You may even have already tried other ways to fix your problems and keep getting stuck.

Whatever you are going through, I honor wherever you are. I know it can feel hard to talk about hard things. I will walk with you through it all and provide the clinical tools, support, and space to process your thoughts and feelings. We will develop a plan together aligned with your goals, all within a safe space and pace that feels comfortable for you.

All of us need some extra support at times. Are you ready to thrive, not just survive?

My Background

Through my life experiences and my own therapy journey, I learned that therapy is a gift that you give yourself so you can focus on the things that you value the most. It is my desire to help others build the skills and confidence to be well and live well.

I am trained in evidence and brain-based approaches such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems) for trauma, stress-related issues, addictions, pain, and depression. I also integrate cognitive, behavioral, somatic, and mindfulness approaches as appropriate. I have training in couples counseling from the Gottman Institute and support premarital couples as a Prepare/Enrich facilitator.

Areas of Focus

I provide EMDR for adults and children/adolescents, and also work with couples and families working through relational trauma, betrayal, or communication issues. I also support those struggling with stress/OCD, self-esteem, life transitions, relational conflict, and offer parent coaching.

I am available for both in-person and telehealth sessions.

Fun Facts About Dorothy

In my free time, I like being in nature and traveling, practicing yoga, listening to music, spending time with my family, and serving in my community.
