Meet Joseph

I am passionate about aiding clients on their journey of holistic flourishing through a focus on their strengths and an integrated view of the human person, informed by both clinical psychology and Christian anthropology. In sessions, I draw from a variety of modalities depending on the client's needs, especially psychodynamic, existential, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and IFS-informed therapy. No matter what modalities we use, I believe that a warm and supportive therapeutic relationship forms the core of success.

My Background

I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Santa Clara University and am currently completing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Divine Mercy University. I have been involved with adolescent and young adult work for several years through youth ministry, teaching, and tutoring.

Areas of Focus

I primarily focus on adolescents, young adults, depression, OCD, anxiety, addictions, and couples. If you are hoping to integrate your faith into therapy, I am more than happy to do so and believe that the therapeutic process is most powerful when all dimensions of the human person are involved.

Fun Facts About Joseph

I am a licensed falconer in the State of California and have trained birds of prey of several different species. I'm also fluent in Italian and enjoy reading, cooking, and the outdoors.
