Meet Elisabeth

We all experience challenges in life, and sometimes, the burden can become too difficult to bear alone. If your child is struggling right now, I would be honored to walk alongside your family on the journey to healing and living a happier, more harmonious life. My style of therapy is warm, supportive, and collaborative, and I enjoy working with people from all faiths, cultural backgrounds, and walks of life.

My Background

I have an extensive background in Early Childhood Education. It was only natural that I would gravitate toward specializing in children in my second career as a therapist! I do Child-Centered Play Therapy (the most evidence-based way of working with young children for most issues) for children ages 3-10 who are going through a life transition (such as a parental separation or divorce, a move, or bereavement), children with anxiety or behavior challenges, and children who have suffered from trauma. While adults talk about their issues, children best work them out through play. When children come to see me, they don’t know they are working through their issues - they just know they are having a great time in the playroom!

I work closely with parents and caregivers to provide support, coaching, and information on child development, all through a relational neuroscience, trauma-informed lens to increase connection between parent and child.

Areas of Focus

I focus on: ADHD, Adjustment to Separation/Divorce, Adoption, Anxiety, Attachment, Behavior Issues, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions, OCD (all subtypes), Parenting, School Avoidance, Selective Mutism, Separation Anxiety, Sexual Abuse, and Sleep Issues.

I work with children.

Fun Facts About Elisabeth

In my downtime, I love spending time with God, my family, and my friends. I am a lover of nature and all animals and am blessed to share my life with a menagerie of pets, including three standard poodles and a small collection of reptiles, some of whom I occasionally use for animal-assisted therapy.
