Meet Anobella

Breaking cycles or entering into new territories is challenging, but it is not impossible. By cultivating an authentic relationship, we will cultivate a safe space where you can bring the unfinished business of your life and witness healing occur.

My Background

As a former high school Academic Counselor and community college Writing Consultant, my passion for helping individuals navigate the challenges and shifts in their lives motivated my decision to pursue a Master’s Degree in Counseling at Western Seminary. I love working with teens, couples, and families. My primary focus is pre-marital therapy, parent-teen relationships, and identity formation. Specifically, I work with Christian couples who are facing fears and reservations around the topic of marriage and sex. My focus on marriage and family relations derived from wanting to learn how to conceptually and tangibly give children, adults, and families the tools to build healthy interpersonal relationships, self-perception, self-awareness, and gratitude.

The two primary therapy modalities I use are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and experiential therapy. CBT helps reframe thought patterns to healthy ones, and experiential therapy helps with experiencing thoughts and emotions that arise at the moment. Experiential therapy is especially helpful when we forget the details of past events. I am particularly passionate about helping my clients navigate challenges related to cultural identity, immigration, anxiety, spirituality, and conflict resolution. I am a trilingual Bay area resident fluent in English, Assyrian, and Farsi, and I’ve had the privilege to work with a wide range of age groups, K to 50+.
