Meet Dorothy
If you’re reading this, you may be in a place where you are feeling overwhelmed, hopeless and stuck. The demands of work, marriage, and family, relational wounds/conflict, trauma, and seasons of loss and illness are making life difficult to manage. Wherever you are in your life journey, my goal is to walk alongside you with acceptance and without judgment while empowering you to gain tools, skills, and insight towards living a life with greater meaning. We can work together to move from hopelessness to joy, fear to courage, and isolation to connection.
My Background
My passion for helping others grew out of my own struggles and the healing I’ve experienced in my own therapy. I am certified as a Gottman couples therapist and Prepare/Enrich facilitator to support premarital and married couples. I also have experience working with eating disorders, children/families, and coaching parents. I use evidence-based practices that are culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and solutions-based.
Areas of Focus
Dorothy focuses on couples, individual adults, parenting, trauma, anxiety/burnout, and eating/body image.
Dorothy is available for both in-person and telehealth sessions.
