Board President

Dan Yoder joins CCCSJ with over 30 years of broad operating experience working with public and private companies including IBM, HP, Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung. He currently leading the PE business unit at NES Financial, overseeing sales, marketing, fund accounting, investor relations and technology development. His expertise will be invaluable to his role as Board Treasurer.

I joined CCC San Jose in 2009 as a newly licensed psychologist. This amazing community has helped me to develop as a clinician, and it has also been a family that has supported me through my personal growth over the last decade. Now, as a board member, I want to support and protect this unique community, and I also want to participate in facilitating the growth that will happen over the next decade. Specifically, I have a heart to grow the training program at CCC and see it become even more vibrant and successful in cultivating excellent new Christian therapists.

Board Treasurer

Jeff Clark owns a financial advisory business where he helps individuals and families align their money with their values and become wise stewards of their wealth. He believes strongly in integrating faith and finances and is excited to help the CCC be even more strategic with our resources as Treasurer. Jeff saw firsthand the impact of CCCSJ early in his career when he was pastoring at a local church. He regularly referred young adults and their families to CCC therapists who provided invaluable guidance through difficult times.

Executive Director & Board Member

Tina Engel is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University. She specializes in couples counseling and family healing and is a motivational strengths builder who thrives in helping others find their purpose, place and peace in life. She has been leading CCC San Jose as the Interim Director since 2019 and was named permanent Executive Director in September 2020.

Joey Wang serves as an associate pastor at Mercy Hill Church. Prior, he pastored at Chinese for Christ Church of San Jose for 17 years. Joey received his B.A. from the University of California – Berkeley, M.Div and ThM (Biblical Studies) from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He currently serves on the board of iSpectra and his local Little League. He and his wife, Margaret, have 3 boys at home where there’s never a dull moment.

Cathy Smith is the CEO/President of ELREPCO, a High-Tech Manufacturers’ Representative in Northern California. Cathy has been able to shape her company towards excellence in not only technology, but also in the area of community. She lives out this value through her involvement in groups such as Young Life, Kontagious, San Jose Family Shelter via Calvary Church and Calvary Divorce and Relationship Recovery. Cathy also demonstrates her innate determinism through her hobbies. She was a marathon runner for many years until she became captured by the game of golf. She stays attuned to the needs of others and holds events and fundraisers to generate enthusiasm and give opportunities for people in the community to get involved. She is the consummate professional, leading with integrity, character, and grace. These qualities, strengthened and emboldened by her faith in Christ, make Cathy an impactful addition to our board. She hopes to work alongside the CCCSJ team to enable growth and create a healthy environment to that furthers the Kingdom of God.

Charmaine has served in higher education for over twenty years including roles in fundraising, alumni relations, management and board responsibility, enrollment, and volunteerism for Santa Clara University, Western Seminary, and Marquette University. Shifting to the medical arena four years ago she was VP of Development for Support Circle and through a merger now works as Education Manager at Real Options, teaching relationship education to students and adults. She also founded a ministry with her husband called Marriage Fundamentals serving couples all over the Bay Area and beyond for nearly three decades. Bringing these worlds together she plans to advise CCC with fundraising objectives and community workshop development. She is a native of the Bay Area, a wife of 32 years and mother to four adult daughters.
