Barbara is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee who uses a compassionate, sensitive approach to create a safe environment for you to heal and grow. With you as the expert on your life and Barbara’s evidence-based solution-focused approach, she will collaborate with you to support your goals with respect and understanding.
In her graduate program at Santa Clara University, Barbara studied health psychology, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness, giving her an understanding of the whole person and the mind-body connection. In her undergraduate program at San Jose State, she studied neuroscience, perception, and cognition. Barbara’s goal is to combine this information with her heartfelt desire to help you thrive.
Life Experience to Serve You
Barbara has travelled extensively and has experience working with individuals and families from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Barbara’s professional background includes corporate staffing, children’s ministry, and management. She volunteered for ABC Project Cornerstone, CityTeam, Parents Helping Parents, and Project Hired. Barbara and her husband have been married nearly 20 years and have two children.

Some therapists will work with you in their office and hope you are able to remember the experience. Barbara will give you clear ways to get the most out of therapy with experiential activities and tools to use in your daily life.
