Theresa is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee who is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University.
Prior to pursuing the MFT program, Theresa worked with individuals and families fleeing war and violence. Having witnessed the effects of trauma and depression on the mental and physical health on many of her clients, Theresa is passionate about helping individuals focus on their strength and resilience to meet the challenges of their lives effectively and reach their maximum potential.
Theresa’s experience in the helping profession gives her a solid foundation for her work as a therapist. She provides a safe space for clients to share their struggles, as well as their successes.
Theresa grew up in Sudan. She is married and has two adolescent children. Theresa loves spending time with her family, as well as volunteering for organizations that support women and girls’ mental health and education.
