Anyone can be a father, but it takes a special man to be a dad.
Thank you to all the dads and dad figures in our lives who have come alongside us in love, care, and leadership. Your involvement and engagement in your children’s lives plays an important role in how they view themselves, others, the world, and God.
Thank you for showing up when life got hard, for providing financial security, for protecting us, and for the wise advice given, even when it may have not been taken every now and then.
Thank you for letting your children and those you treat as your own children, know when you were proud of them, no matter what age they are. Your affection, encouragement, and support has greatly impacted cognitive and social development in us all, whether you were a coach on the field, a cheerleader in the stands, a teacher, a pastor, a mentor, or a friend.
The time you took to be around, take your family on vacations, play games, and just talk about the little things in life, have made a big difference, more than you will ever know.
Blessings to you today and always.
Happy Father’s Day
