Janie uses a holistic approach to help women and adolescents discover their true identity and live into the best version of themselves. She works with family of origin issues, self-esteem, parenting, anxiety, depression, grief and life transitions, and spirituality. Janie also enjoys working with parents, as she is a Trained Independent Facilitator of the ‘Parenting the Love and Logic Way’ Curriculum.
Janie is a Certified Brainspotting Therapist. Brainspotting is a powerful healing modality that connects the brain and the body to clear emotional pain and trauma. It is a leading edge trauma resolution therapy that holds the possibility of releasing psychological trauma by working with a place in the body and in the brain where a trauma is held. It is a specialized treatment method for individuals with a history of trauma and those who feel they are not progressing as they would like to in traditional treatment approaches. Janie is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her Master’s degree at Western Seminary. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Calvin College in Michigan and then worked as a Youth Pastor for several years followed by Sales in a Distribution Company. Janie is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Janie enjoys hiking, reading, and cooking. She is married and has three teenage children.
