Janie is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who received her Master’s degree at Western Seminary. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Calvin College in Michigan and then worked as a Youth Pastor for several years followed by Sales in a Distribution Company.

Janie works with individuals, couples and families. Her special areas of interest include women’s issues, family of origin issues, marriage, self-esteem, parenting, anxiety, depression, grief and life transitions, and spirituality. Janie really enjoys working with parents, as she is a Trained Independent Facilitator of the ‘Parenting the Love and Logic Way’ Curriculum.

Janie is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and the American Association of Christian Counselors. Janie enjoys reading, cooking, and hiking. She is married and has three children.
