My Background

Mina is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist/Professional Clinical Counselor. She received her B.S. Degree from San Jose State University and her M.A. Degree from California Southern University. Prior to graduate studies, she worked in church administration, lay counseling, relationship coaching; and drug/alcohol residential rehab. Additionally, she has experience as an elementary school counselor, and she is also currently volunteering at her church as HeartSync facilitator.

Areas of Focus

Mina is passionate about working with couples, families, and providing premarital counseling. She provides space to practice listening, resolving conflicts and accepting differences. She equips parents using Love and Logic techniques and answers personality questions with enneagram tools. She has a special interest in helping those who struggle with anxiety, trauma, loss and identity. She uses a variety of researched based and biblically supported treatment to best fit each clients needs. This starts with person-centered therapy and includes Internal Family Systems, TEAM-CBT, Relational Life Therapy (from Terry Real). Mina recommends Journey Groups through Deeper Walk international for spiritual/emotional maturity and Celebrate Recovery for habits, addictions and anxiety.

Fun Facts About Mina

Mina has been married since 1998 and has two teenagers and two young adult children. She enjoys free time with family, friends, and is a life long learner. She believes that by “showing up” it provides a growth opportunity for your life. We show up to give and receive love from one another and God.
