Russell is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee and is working toward his Master’s degree in Marriage Family Therapy at Western Seminary. He received his B.S. in Health Science from San Jose State University.
Russell has been a Middle School Teacher for the past six years, working with a wide range of children and adolescents. In addition, he has served as a Youth Pastor in his church and has experience working with teenagers and young adults who struggle with their identity. After college, Russell worked at Valley Medical Center working with patients who struggled with addiction. He gained priceless experience developing a passion to walk with people along their voyage for change.
Russell is passionate about helping others in their journey of life. He desires to work with people from any background and culture. Russell strongly believes that it is a great honor to be able to hear each person’s story and to strengthen them in every stage of life.
He enjoys working with adults, college students, couples, adolescents, and children. His experience is centered on those who struggle with addiction, depression, spiritual and religious issues, self-esteem, life and career transitions, grief and loss, and relationship issues.
Russell is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). He enjoys running, playing sports, camping, and the outdoors. He is happily married and has two children.
