Grace Lee is a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Sofia University in Palo Alto, CA.

Grace worked as an elementary school counselor for the Redwood City School District for two years. Through the experience, Grace gained a wide range of knowledge working with children and their families. By using Expressive Arts and Play Therapy, she helped children verbalize and process their feelings, build confidence, improve behavior and obtain coping skills.

Grace enjoys working with a variety of people such as children, individuals, couples and families. She loves to work with people of all ethnicities and different cultural backgrounds. With love, passion and compassion, she hopes to hold the space for her clients and bring healing to their hearts. Grace is in continuous training for psychosynthesis which is a therapy that provides a variety of different approaches: introspection, dialogue, insight, creative expression, inner dialogue, dream work, imagery, sand tray, etc. The goal is to elaborate and deepen the clients’ understanding of the issue at hand so that new insights and new actions become possible. Grace is an EMDRIA trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy clinician. 

In the past Grace was a corporate finance professional for 12 years in the high tech industry. In her leisure time she enjoys training in Aikido, taking yoga classes, meditating, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family. Grace is bilingual in English and Mandarin.

Focus on Anxiety
My name is Grace and I am a warm, passionate person. In a warm and confidential environment, we will begin to tackle the anxiety that keeps so many feeling stuck. I work primarily from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy model. 1.CBT is based on the idea that our thoughts affect our feelings and therefore our behaviors. In therapy we would take a greater look at those thoughts and examine and challenge them in order to bring healing and freedom. 2.Psychodynamic therapy is about greater self-awareness. It takes a greater look at your past experiences and relationships and how they affect you in the present in order to bring about change and growth.
